What is today's blog about?

In today's blog, Alice McCusker, a newly qualified Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer at MJ Group International, gives us her top tips for APC success.

We were proud to have supported Alice through her APC. You can read her feedback on our services below:

Massive thank you to Property Elite - Jen and her team Jane, Mike, Jamie, Brian and Kevin.

I had a great experience with Property Elite, Jen was responsive and replied quickly and even replied on weekends. Her team provided amazing mentoring sessions and mock interviews. I highly recommended Property Elite if you need any help with the APC.

So what are Alice's top tips for APC success?

1. You can all do this so believe in yourself.

2. I got quizzed on IPMS so make sure you know this.

3. If you don’t know the answer, don’t guess just either ask to come back to the question or refer to the RICS guidelines on where you would find the answer, be honest and say you need to double check.

4. Make sure your wifi connection is strong, I bought a Ethernet cable as my wifi wasn’t great, I had no issues with wifi on the day and this make a difference.

5. Loads of mock interviews with colleagues or external.

6. Take it easy day of and day before as you need a fresh mind.

7. I did focused deep breathing for 10 mins before the interview and it’s amazing how much it calmed the nerves before the interview.

8. Work really hard but take breaks.

How can we help?

Stay tuned for our next blog post to help build a better you.
